Top 5 fun things about sleep deprivation

  • Everything looks comfortable.

  • Have day dreams about getting a good nights sleep.

  • Make a list of everything you need to buy when shopping, forget to take list with you.

  • You know that coffee shares are a good investment.

  • Of course I know what day it is, just let me check my watch again.

Yesterday I knew that I would forget some things when I went shopping, so I purposely made a list. It was a great list that did a great job keeping dust from settling on the table during my absence. There is also nothing quite so disturbing as not knowing what day of the week it is, especially when you have literally just checked. New parents of the world, I salute you.

  1. I have been having this weird racing heart thing when I go to bed, so I have watched a lot of late night tv. I am so groggy that it reminds me of monday mornings when I was a teenager. But this was still a funny post.

    1. I remember at uni staying up late and watching the late night sci-fi TV shows, on the nights I wasn’t drinking. Being a real adult seems to require better sleep. I think it has something to do with the brain that actually works for a living now.

      1. I’ll never get old. I bathe in the blood of virgins on every full moon, I spend all of my free time in a stasis pod saving up days of my life, and I take every supplement that makes claims to extend life. I’ve got this thing covered!

    1. I have a new bub who is sneaking into our bedroom at night and stealing our sleep. I’m thinking that other sleep deprived people have their sleep stolen by gnomes, keep a look out for them.
